Long description:
These chairs were most often used by Pilots but ceased production in 1941. Made of high-quality oak material, this armchair is durable, stylish and comfortable. As a unique piece, it has lots of history and character that will surely impress any collector. It is perfect for those who appreciate vintage furniture and would like to add a unique touch to their living space.
The width of the chair was adapted to be wider than normal Lloyd Loom chairs of its period
There seems to be only one other like this and it is in a museum in London.
There are a few age related imperfections (please see all photos) and the original cushion is there and is sprung. They were never supplied with extra cushions due to furs being worn at altitude on the airship. I have added a Tetrad cushion compliments the chair beautifully. But you do not have to have this, it’s personal choice.
