Vintage Beswick Miniature Pair of Staffordshire Dogs

These vintage pair of Spaniel Staffordshire dogs are so adorable with their features and gold detailing. They are unique, each Beswick pottery dog is hand painted and no two are identical. They are in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Circa 1950’s to 1960’s with Beswick engraved in the bottom 1378-7 and 15 in black (please see all photos)

The Staffordshire dogs were decorative interior items in most English homes during the Victorian era, placed on a shelf, table or fireplace.

They were also rumoured to be part of a secret lovers language, depending where and how the pieces were placed would send a message to the lover outside.
