The heartbreaking story behind Ludwig Trapp. Ludwig moved to England and married an English lady and they had a daughter. When World War One broke out Ludwig was imprisoned on the island of Jersey and after backlash and abuse from villagers his wife and daughter sought sanctuary and were taken in by the church in Cumbria. They were never to see each other again.
